It shall be the purpose of NCQSI to promote and perpetuate the art of quilting through regularly sponsored symposia throughout the state of North Carolina and to sponsor other projects designed to preserve, continue and advance this art form, at the discretion of the Board.
The board consists of nine volunteers from all parts of the state. Board members are elected for an initial term of four years, with a renewable two-year term up to two additional terms for a maximum of eight years. A full term for a Director begins immediately following Symposium.
Requirements for board membership include those with this desire, residency in North Carolina, and the willingness to attend the annual Symposium and perhaps one other meeting each year at member’s expense. We welcome all requests for inclusion on our Board.
During the annual Symposium and perhaps one other meeting annually. Otherwise Board business is discussed and transacted by email.
